How to apply X-MAN RC skins?
When you have received your skin, there are a few tips and tricks to make sure it will stand the test of time. The most important thing is to take your time and do not try to rush things, otherwise you will probably end up with a crooked or wrinkled skin.
Here are some basic tips:
- Wash your hands with dishwashing soap to make sure they are degreased.
- Clean the surface with a mild cleaning agent.
- Take your time and stick each sticker on carefully. Use a hairdryer when applying the foil around bends.
- When all sticker are applied use a hairdryer to warm up all flat pieces to activate the glue and make it stick better.
And for chassis skins there are some extra things to think about. With chassis skins it's important to really take your time. Follow the first 2 steps mentioned above and lay your chassis upside down on a steady surface. Then pick up the skin with the transfer foil and hold it about 2cm above the chassis. Line up all holes and gently lower the skin, making sure all holes still line up. Any airbubbles underneath can be gently pushed out because of the car wrap foils air channels.
What is the proccessing time for my order?
Because each order is custom made to your specifications, it takes a bit longer than a regular purchase from a webshop.
- Depending on if your colour is in stock or not, your order can take between 2-6 days to ship.
- Custom skins take a little bit more time, because there is time involved in producing the design, outsourcing the printing and cutting the skin itself. Normally this takes between 1 and 2 weeks.
